Identity Theft Scams

Fraudsters pose as mobile network agents doing RICA verification and ask for ID documents and photos. The information is used to commit identity theft and facilitate SIM swaps.

Scammers collect copies of ID documents, payslips, and bank statements through fake job or rental applications. They use these to apply for loans, credit cards, and accounts in the victim's name.
